Applied AI with an operator's mindset
Cogni Circuit Labs Inc. is an independent engineering studio headquartered on West Hastings in Vancouver, British Columbia. We help Canadian organizations design, build and deploy AI assistants, autonomous agents and workflow automations that integrate with the systems they already run — ERP, CRM, service desks, document repositories and custom internal APIs.
What we believe
Artificial intelligence delivers value when it is embedded in a process someone already owns — not when it sits in a sandbox waiting for a executive sponsor to invent a use case. Our team comes from software engineering, platform operations and product delivery backgrounds. We speak both languages: the boardroom summary and the pull request.
We are deliberately small. That keeps senior engineers on every engagement, reduces handoff friction and lets us say no to projects that would be better served by a straightforward integration or a rules engine instead of a large language model. Honest scoping is part of the service.
Privacy and security are not afterthoughts. When personal information is involved, we align designs with PIPEDA at the federal level and BC's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) where applicable. Data residency preferences for Canadian clients are respected by default.
How we work with your team
Engagements typically begin with a two-week discovery sprint: stakeholder interviews, data inventory, integration mapping and a written recommendation that includes build vs. buy analysis. If we proceed, delivery runs in two-week cycles with demoable increments and shared Slack or Teams channels for async questions.
We pair with your developers when they are available — that accelerates adoption and ensures your codebase does not become a black box maintained only by an external vendor. For organizations without in-house AI capacity, we can operate the system through a retainer, but the goal is always transferable ownership.
Our studio serves clients across British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and the United States. Remote delivery is standard; on-site workshops are available in the Vancouver and Lower Mainland area for kickoffs, security reviews and operator training.
